How Is It Done?
A blood sample is drawn from a vein in arm or fingerstick. For newborns, a sample is taken from heelstick or umbilical cord.

Why Get Tested?
The test is done as a regular check-up, especially if you are above 45 years of age. Your doctor may also suggest in case of symptoms or during pregnancy.

How Is It Done?
A blood sample is drawn from a vein in the arm or sometimes even a drop of blood from a finger prick is collected for the test. Some health conditions do need a urine sample for this test.

Any Preparation Needed?
